I'm tryin' to forget you
But try as I may
Your still my every thought, dear
Every day
No use tryin' to forget you
'Cause I realize
That I'm tryin' to forget you
With tears in my eyes
And those teardrops only remind me
That I love you more and more
So I'll put my foolish pride behind me
And go knockin', knockin' at your door
And I'll be tryin' to impress you
Hopin' to possess you
Now I know I haven't a chance, dear
There's no denyin'
But you can't blame a fellow for tryin'

And those teardrops only remind me
That I love you more and more
So I'll put my foolish pride behind me
And go knockin', knockin' at your door
And I'll be tryin' to impress you
Hopin' to possess you
Now I know I haven't a chance, dear
There's no denyin'
But you can't blame a fellow for tryin'

  • During our high school years at PHS...we had a girl who would sing this song as we would be coming home from basketball games....silence would fill that old bus until she had finished...now, we would use our cell phones video her and post to Youtube....to bad we can't share that experience.

  • the mount.

  • Beautifull song! Luckily I got the original album..

I love every song on it!

    P.S. I Love You....

  • One of my favorite groups and songs of the '50's that bring back memories of those first dances, mixers and proms and of course, those first crushes. I've said it before and I'll say it again and again, they don't write and record music with that kind of sentiment anymore. How sad!

  • Oh the wonderful memories..................young love, first love, how great was that?

  • DL the audio from this tune at searchripgrab doht cohm.

  • The squatting gentleman on the far left is the famed orchaestra leader Billy Vaughn

  • Really like this group and also the piano in the background.

  • My very favorite group singers. This was their first and greatest hit.

  • From Me To You ....Love You Always Pat
