Language sure tells a lot about mentality.^^ Swedish somehow is cute, it actually sound a bot osmanic sometimes, for... some vocals relative to our Umlaute. Speaking german: you know it´s reputation: lotsa imperatives and a straight forward grammatic. Good for D/S purpose, im actually teaching some punchlines to peps on fetlife^^. i dont speak swedish much but i noticed that many swedish words sounds more like polish (from north poland dialects) like Jag = polish Ja, Swedish Ja (yes) is the same as polish yes (Ja, but only in north poland, rest say tak), simmilar names (Svenska - Polska, Svergie - Polskie) and so on, im curious where did come from those similarities
as i said, that only exist in north poland (like Cuyavia etc) maybe it come from goths?I have no idea but my dialect got more germanic words than slavic
