Swades: Initial meeting of eyes between Gita and Mohan in the bookshop. She looks down haughtily (mâninî) at an intimidated Mohan at their first encounter, followed by a display of her formidable IQ (number-crunching). To be contrasted with her adoring gaze while smiling in the caravan love-scene.

What a pretty irony the bookshop is called Pathfinder, and she gaves him wrong directions LOL
anyway Mohan and Gita found their "way" ...

I never noticed before that the bookshop was called Pathfinder...irony indeed! Thanks for pointing this out to the rest of us...I think Swades is meant to show the us the 'path home'...to one's self-hood!
