Yemen's New Offensive

Yemen's new offensive against al Qaeda led to the reopening of the U.S. embassy there. As CBS' Toula Vlahou reports, some believe al Qaeda will only strengthen.

@BlameRepublicans Kids are not machine guned. Palestinians take money for sacrificing their own children as suicide bombers. Palestinian cowards rape kids, sell off 9 year old girls into marriages with 30 year old men, blow up their own children for money, use their own kids as human shielts and fire rockets of their own school buildings stuffed with their own kids.. @BlameRepublicans Good point. But this was NOT a country owned by people who call themselves Palestinians. As a matter of fact, Palestinians were Jordanians. Some were from Egypt. They DID NOT OWN THAT LAND! The Brits owned more than Palestinians. You have to read some history. No one is accusing you of being an anti-semite, but you simply do not know enough to offer an opinion on the matter. You have to read some history books.

I suspect I'm about to be labeled an anti-Semite - but it's not the case. If the US and UK had done the exact thing we did with the Jews and did it instead with our returning war veterans - basically give them their own country that we carved out of someone else's back yard - I'd have the SAME opinion.

Until Israel admits the the fact that Palestine was *STOLEN* there will be no progress towards peace. I'm not saying Israel needs to hang up the "Out of Business" sign and disburse - but without this acknowledgement no good faith negotiations can proceed. I suspect the right wing within Israel knows this fact and WANTS unending war, so until the right will is crushed there will be no peace.

@BlameRepublicans When European Jews created something out of Israel (BTW, there are Arabs and Palestinians in the Kneset - Israeli government right now and some have Isreali citizenship -- do some research), Palestinians and neighboring Arab countries decided to kill off the Jews. Now that land was blooming, why not kill Jews (and even Christians). But, like cowards they attacked on Yom Kippur, and like cowards, they ran like bitches. @BlameRepublicans Jews were in Israel long before Arabs. The League of Nations (making up Arab countries) and United Nations gave Israel to Jews. Jews and Arabs lived side by side in peace for many years. You have to look up your history. US supports Israel because it's the ONLY democratic civilized country that doesn't practice Shariah in the region. US NEEDS ISRAEL and ISRAEL NEEDS UNITED STATES.

Israel was STOLEN and GIVEN to the Jews. In case you don't recall the Jews were not exactly in fighting shape in '48. I'm not saying the Jews don't need a homeland, but the US should have bore that cost, not foist it onto the Palestinians.
