Not to shit on you buy....
....Dude, older woofers are not made for extreme excursion. Those old ones are more punchy than boomy.
A speaker doesnot need to move 5 inches to sound good. The magnet size doesn't even matter, what matters is it's streanth.

I hate when systems limit the frequency on the speakers. Especially the subwoofers.

My early nineties model Pioneer VSX-3600 Theater System has some balls and two L+R front channels so I can have two regular speaker boxes and two subs, I've even done a 10" Nakamichi and it handled it like a pro but the Ohms was too low on it so I swapped it with two 8", and I cranked the low Freqs on the Equalizer and damn did those babies move. Still have my system too and in one piece. I think the Ohms load is too low on those speakers for your Pioneer setup, thus not enough power.

@barevids i have burnt two speakers they still work will this have any affect. i burnt them by turn up to loud before letting them warm
-
1st song?
-
@osxdude they're not subs, they're woofers, it might just not be moving much cause it's a very well sealed box.
-
is this system still working and do you parents still use it? i'd love to see these woofers in the old dual 8" L-ported box, they would probably sound quite good in it!
-
