The second display of the evening was very elegant and graceful, almost like a pyrotechnic ballet, and unlike anything we'd seen before.
This was the final show of the 16th annual Les Grands Feux Loto-Quebec International competition, set at Montmorency Falls just outside of Quebec City.
From the official website: "Well designed and easy to get to, Parc de la Chute-Montmorency is only ten minutes from Québec City downtown.
Fireworks firms and spectators alike agree that Parc de la Chute-Montmorency is the ideal venue for this dazzling event. Imagine a majestic natural amphitheater formed by a thundering wall of water that tumbles 272 feet into a basin. What a setting! What an atmosphere!
Nowhere else do fireworks teams have the opportunity to tap the potential of such a stunning natural setting to create instants of pure enchantment."
