Local Auto show late at night. Custom 1986 Fiero with a turboed LS1 in it, 600+ Horses. (Not my car!)

    Yeah, I managed to see it up close, the fiberglass widening of the body on it was blended very very well. =3 The rear was around 6" wider then stock from what Im told, but you could easily see the difference.

  • it is a turboed 383 lt1. NOT an ls1. And it only dynoed 300 whp on 6 psi of boost. Turbo 383 only dynoing 300 whp? yes this is in fact true. Its not fast. Owners name is chuck itzanthaler.

    My mistake, yes it was a LT1, but the rest of the information is simply what he told me. Regardless, impressive build.

  • @Cletussucks Not necessarily. A 383 usually has about the same power as a 350 without modifications. You don't build a 383 to make more whp, you make it for more torque and so that you get more whp out of your internal modifications. ie. an H/C/I on a 383 has more hp gain than it would on a 350.

    I don't know who V8archie or Cletus are and I really don't care. Far as I see you're just a hater, and probably jealous.

  • @AmirGTR A n/a 383 lt1 should be able to make 300 whp easily!!! A 383 lt1 should easily make 400 whp n/a. The fact that it only mkaes 300 whp on 6 psi is pathetic. So lets say it makes 10 hp per lbs of boost, and you take off the turbo, you are saying that a 383 lt1 only will make 240 whp? LOL a stock lt1 at 350 ci will make that!! LOL

    Its a v8 in a fiero, and even with a turbo, it still makes shit for power.

  • @Cletusbuildsjunk It's precisely 300whp because it's turbo AND 383. It's only at 6psi, and it can't go much higher than that because the components used in the engine have to be very strong to take any more boost. The problem is much, much worse on a 383.

    Usually a forged 355 is the best way to go if you're trying to turbo an LT1.

  • @keyofdavid888 That is what I try to tell everybody, but they just want to repeat what they heard somewhere. It kills me. If I was wrong about something, I would want to be corrected. But some people cannot be swayed one way or the other, even with the cold, hard facts.

  • @dejong93 Why do you feel the need to go around to all the Fiero videos and bash them? I dont understand it. Te fiero does have a 1"x8" corrugated steel beam in the door for side crash protection/structural support. A fiero's door weighs in at around 100lbs apiece. The Fiero has a 650lb full-perimeter steel frame. Fieros weigh between 2550 and 2850lbs, depending on trim level. Hardly a tin can.

  • All i can say is at least theres a nice car at .24 other than that this car is a waste of money and a death trap. Should have taken a K car and put a hemi in it. lol Or better yet drop a mustang engine in a Tempo. lol
