never mind the emergency number,even back in the 90s when mobiles weren't that popular,finding a phone box that wasn't vandalised was a mission in itself

@Obelisk3rdEye lol no it's not bullshit. They considered other numbers. 999 is quick to dial. Test it on a mobile (cell) phone if your mobile doesn't connect until you press the 'send' button - try 999 and 911. 999 is faster and much easier for someone who can't take their phone out due to the situation
