Note from the TEDxCLE founders: When we began planning TEDxCLE, we knew that we wanted to involve Terry Schwarz. More than being a "optimist," Terry Schwarz is a "realist." She accepts that cities change over time - sometimes shrinking before they can grow. But she also knows that there is joy to be found in the transition of cities. She inspires all of us to love the city we were, we are, and the city that she knows we can be.

About TEDx, x=independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x=independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.*
