1st saw Steve in Davis CA in the late 60s & he played Sacramento clubs for years in the 70s. Fine player. I have his CD Saturday Night Blues and the vinyl On the Corner of Jump & Swing. And of course Clarke was simply one of the greatest blues harpists of all time, left us way too early. Thanks for the post!

Great that this video got posted & better yet, that Steve Samuels is alive & kickin'. He recently told me to check out the talented William Clarke on You Tube,& I was pleasantly surprised that Steve, as well as brother Andrew were on the film as well!!!

Steve just called to tell me about the vids. Wants you all to know his birthday is Feb. 26 Steve is in need of an acoustic guitar so he can get his chops back. If you have an extra guitar in the small to medium sizes and want it to go to a good cause let me know. He still has his electric gear. Thanks

Oh no! This makes me reel sad.... haven´t heard about that. Met him often when visiting Bill and Jeannette.
I played with Steve on a tour in Belgium in 1991 with my band Hideaway. He loved to play my old Vox AC30. Some years ago we were told by his CD distributor in Europe Steve had left us. So what a surprise this seems to be. I'd love to get in touch or at least to hear something from him. He's such a great player. Do you have more footage?
