Who is the demure face that looks so innocent yet has conquered the music scene like an amazon? At 19, Carol Banawa has achieved so much in her age. Her young voice reminds me of Mariah Carey in the making, a better version in the near future. Her self-titled first album "Carol" reflects so much of her character - a typical teener slowly learning the many ways of the world - of first love, unconditional love, reality and the fantasy of wishing for the right time. Talented and still growing as a well-crafted artist, Carol owed her stage talent from the Ateneo Children's Theater where, that experience made her voice stole tons of heavy trophies from international singing competitions, movie themes and major stage plays. The perfect choice to play as Little Mermaid, Carol never disappointed her high-standard audience when she let her self hang on air while singing on top of her voice live together with the big names of the theater world. This only shows how powerful she that in her young, petite looks, her talent can make an impressive domination. In her official biography she says, "I entered the crazy world of show business because I wanted to show the world that there's still more that they don't know about Carol." Her first album is an in depth description of how much she has developed as a singer. Her carrier single, "Till it's Time" speaks about the first pain of a first love waiting for the right time to come true.
