Pote tin Kyriaki a.k.a. Never on Sunday 1960. Jules Dassin, her husband at a time, wrote the story, directed and acted. The great Melina Mercouri plays "the prostitute who has no price", does the singing, and subsequently became the Minister of Culture for Greece between 1981 and 1989. The great Manos Hadjidakis wrote, the Oscar winning and immortal music "Ta paidia tou Peiraia". Jacques Natteau was responsible for the great close-ups of Melina. I was just informed Jacques passed away this April. He was married to Yvonne Furneaux ("La Dolce Vita"). One of the all time greats.

There are no more Politicians like Melina... She made for Greece, during her life more than all the 300 Members of Parliament do on 4 years! It's a big shame they haven't made more on her memory in the new Museum. Shame on Greek politicians
