8F 48151 pilots Britannia Class 70013 Oliver Cromwell, running as 70048 The Territorial Army, as they depart Lancaster station with, 'The Help for Heroes Tour', on Saturday 27 March 2010.

Please now watch the departure from the platform side at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RnlzqLR9-0

Both locomotives were immaculately turned out for the occasion and were filmed from step ladders in the station car park.

  • Thank you, Bob. As you say it was a magnificent sight.....I just wonder what it would have been like with the Scot - Frank.

  • Nice footage Frank, and as you say the locos looked great -- a credit to all concerned.

  • @TheDoodyman Wow!! The cheek!!

  • Thanks, David. I missed the whistles and initial start because of an old chap who had borrowed the ladder for a still shot, then just stood watching. I had to shout at him to get off. Last time I do that! - Frank.

  • That's a superb start and sound from both locomotives. Well filmed, Frank. Those step ladders came in useful.
