In nature, lots of animals are homosexual and use homosexuality to reinforce group bonds. Humans are uniquely homophobic. So do not compare bigoted humans to animals - it is an insult to animals. We may be intelligent but we are far more destructive and vicious creatures than animals are, especially towards each other.

Also if we do not recognize the darkness in our hearts then we will be doomed to repeat the same hateful mistakes over and over.
