Considering the fact that people pay me to play my own music for them, I'd venture to call myself a real musician. Venture a little further to say that I must be doing something right, or they wouldn't pay me. I didn't realize that this whole time I was doing everything "incorrectly". Seriously, if you have nothing better to do than rip on people just because they don't use standard notation, you really need to find a better use for your life, or lack thereof.

Okay, folks, for all of you bitching about tabs verses written music, honestly, give it up! I'm a classical musician, and never saw a tab until a week ago when I bought a guitar. There is NOTHING wrong with tabs, especially for when you're initially learning guitar. As a music reader (with a degree in music performance), I must admit, tabs have been VERY beneficial to me in learning the guitar, so I definitely can't bash them. Get off your high horses. :)

I'm a violinist, and played this first on violin, but recently acquired a guitar, and am now trying to adapt it for guitar, but it's slow-going trying to figure out the most comfortable way to play this... I'm assuming you use actual music, but do you have tabs to describe which frets you use on which strings for the different notes? I suppose I could watch your vid a million times to figure it out, but that would take forever!

wow can I "thumbs down half the comments on the page. There is HUGE advantage to learning music theory and reading sheet but for my first years playing I only used tabs and turned out just fine until I actually learned sheet.
