Bootleg Hip-Hop is a self-funded, independent Hip-Hop organisation that has been active since 2004.
Our aim is to create a platform for up-and-coming artists such as MC's and DJ's and to create a unique hip hop experience for heads in Cape Town and to encourage people from the Cape Flats to venture out into the city centre, a space that has become alien to the majority of the people who come from townships around the inner city. Bootleg Hip-Hop brings Cape Flats artists to the city and showcases the most talented performers.

The Bootleg gives a shout out to all hip hop heads in Cape Town for their dedication and hard work, creating a rise of independent Hip-Hop in Cape Town.
