@kimmycue27 Don't assume that just because a fictionalized version of Satan is being quoted, that the person who posted it agrees with the point of view. If you watch the movie, the theme of "personal responsibility" comes up a lot--the main character tries to accuse Satan of making him do bad things, but it turns out he himself is the cause--Satan merely provided temptation. Here, Satan is trying to further tempt the main character (it doesn't work, though--watch it, it's a classic film).

Al Pacino is my God!

@kimmycue27 Keep in mind that in this film Al Pacino is playing Satan. His tirade against God is completely understandable from that point of view.
This film is one big juicy tribute to Paradise Lost (e.g. Al Pacino's character's name is John Milton. The real John Milton is the author of Paradise Lost), which is a Sympathy for the Devil piece that is a work of art. Satan is portrayed much more sympathetically. Christians and atheists alike should read it.

I'm an atheist and this is pretty much one of my biggest beefs with the Christian god.

You gotta give Al credit: He hammed it up in this movie, but it was Deviled Ham!

Look but don't touch...

@530Tobias he's too. either he has all this power, but makes us suffer, kills little kids, let them be raped, enslaved, nuked, stufffed full of fatty foods, so he's a sadist. or he's just a joker and not a god at all.

@KJ4red He was playing the devil

Not true at all! Get to know him first before you make such assumptions. It's sad you feel this way:(
Man's got a point.
