My God! The greatest bel canto diva of her generation and yet so unjustly neglected by the record companies. thank goodness we have clips of her performances recorded for posterity. Bless you coloraturafan for putting them together so seamlessly!

I had the great pleaseure of seeing Devia in Anna Bolena (Verona) a few years ago. It was worth the trip from California. I was with two very big fans of hers and got to meet her after the opera. She was charming and much smaller than I thought. A very gracious lady. For those who think she can't trill, I have her debut at the MET in Rigoletto where she trills the end of "Caro Nome" forever. We are lucky to have her still singing.
