The funny thing is that Lincoln really didn't care about the slaves until the second half of the civil war. He only signed the emancipation proclamation because he was losing support, and emancipation seemed like a good point to rally behind. It was never meant to be official

Gay used to mean happy. Why do we now, all of a sudden, half to give it a wrong meaning?

"In 1863 Abe ended Slavery, hazzah! hazzah!"
*broken history is broken, lolz* You know, sure is funny if ever look at real history and compare to the $h!t yo teachers &co try shoving down ya is not quite the same. In truth, if were true many a man more be counted among "History's Monsters" and perhaps a couple not? ("Honest Abes" plan was never to free no one but to ship 'em as came over back to wince they came to whatever their fate. Yeah, real supporter of 'equal rights' ;)

"you've lost an arm, you've lost a leg
Hurrah Hurrah
you've lost an arm, you've lost a leg
Hurrah Hurrah
you've lost an arm, you've lost a leg
you'll be met with a wooden peg
and we'll all go marching when Johnny comes marching home"
