Tonight, I was invited to my friend's Wing Chun school to participate in a sparring class with three chosen students hand picked by the school's sifu, and I actually learned alot from these three sparring matches. What you are watching here is the second fight, and here, I am dressed in my school's uniform-- the Do-Bahk (Gi)... My opponent is a Brown Sash named Michelle. We're both equal in height, so if anything-- this fight is pretty even. I had to hold back on my kicks since I am wearing shoes and I didn't want to severely hurt anyone.

After having participated in the sparring matches, I made alot of new friends and garnered alot of respect from the Wing Chun students...

I really learned alot tonight...

Also, the music tracks in this fight video are from Dead or Alive 3, namely Prismatic Butterfly by Makoto Hosoi.

  • Ninja kick!

  • @acidglow

Holy shit! Acidglow, one of the biggest AvP fans, commented on one of my martial arts videos?!

    Sweet!

  • see this is what its all about being respectful and learning were you can improve in your style not saying "this style is the best and nothing else is worth learning" like so many MMA fighters seem to think

  • Thanks for commenting and watching! Yeah, the purpose of these videos is for me to see where I need to improve and refine. I know I am quite inexperienced as a fighter but watching these gives me some insight where I need to fix things.

  • Looks like fun. Just as a friendly suggestion, try not to raise your chin when you punch.

  • @jeffdoeskungfu

Thanks for the tip and I am trying to work on keeping my head down!

  • Cool video, I have been training in Tang Soo Do for a short while now but plan on training in other styles in the future. It's good to see videos that show respect to other styles of martial arts and not saying one is better.

  • think the girl needs more practice

  • it's more like JKD than Wingchun. or non Authentic WC. Tradisional WC it's not flexible to sparr

  • Idk why this got a bad rating. I'm a 3rd degree black belt in tang soo do and this is what sparring looks like. Lol.

  • he tried hard not to hit her in her boobie

  • She's kinda hot! =) I would let her kick my ass any day =D

  • here is cleary the diference beetwn the sifu and the studient, michelle maybe is in the second level went was the figth, becose she isnot using the chi gerk tecnic, but no more what that, i really cool what you fight with ohter martial art

  • all im saying is keep your hands up bro one helpful tip relax when you are fighting you to tense

  • Friendly feedback: I saw you used a lead leg sidekick. Just make sure to keep your hands up on ALL kicks. And use that lead leg side kick if someone is rushing in with hands. Try and time out your opponent and stick them with that lead leg sidekick when their chest is exposed and they are rushing forward.

  • Hey To The Tang Soo Do Dude, I Don't wanna seem like an ass But almost everytime you throw those heavy punches you leave your chin wide open, if you tuck it in just a bit it will seriously reduce the chance of the opponent catching your chin, Happy Training. :D
