The Music of the Bible Revealed: Genesis 1:1-5

This is a test video of Esther Lamandier's performance of Genesis 1:1-5. It is taken from the longer first track (Genesis 1:1-2:3) on her CD, L'ESPRIT DE DIEU ET LES PROPHETES (THE SPIRIT OF GOD AND THE PROPHETS). The melody is taken from the score MESSAGE BIBLIQUE INTEGRAL DANS SON CHANT RETROUVEE (THE COMPLETE MESSAGE OF THE BIBLE IN ITS REDISCOVERED CHANT) by the late Suzanne Haïk-Vantoura (Paris: Fondation Roi David, 1992). The words are in Biblical Hebrew, and the melody is based on the musical accents of the Masoretic Text.

Unlike all my other videos of this genre, the words are in English alone, and there are no backing graphics or photography. God willing, in a later video I can put up the entirety of the Creation account complete with Hebrew and English words and background photographs.
