PJ spent ages racing around and filming loads of acts during this years wonderful Worcester Music Festival and this is a selection from one of the tapes that he still had in his posession.
The problem I encountered with this was there was some problems with the tape dropouts and clipping etc but it seemed such a waste of PJs talent and eye for detail but then I was listening to the Faust tapes with their cut up montages of sound and I had a eureka moment.
So we have some cut ups of acts, I have tried to balance the sound and deliberately used changes of pace and styles to get the flavour of what the WMF was trying to achieve...I am a complete amateur at this so please be gentle with me (yes, I say that to all the girls!)
If you are one of the artists involved here then I hope you are happy to give me permission to use this.

Nice work - i have the rest of the footage. Been waiting for a couple of people from the tech college to get back to me regarding taking the stuff off me to to edit. I still have the stuff lisa gave me (PJ gave to her) if anybody wants it.

hi Jim I expected there to be some audio blown out but am disappointed there are tape dropouts. I didnt notice any when copying but didnt watch all the tapes- might be bum tape. Only way to check as i have lost 600gig on a hard drive is to check with Chris Bennion who has a copy of it all that i digiitised - I will drop you a message

Hi Pj, might be the jargon, audio blown out is more accurate because it was the louder PAs that it happens. As your filming was so good and with such a variety of bands on just the one tape I felt this was still a potentially good advert for the WMF.
Thanks and all the best
Jim

Some great moments caught on this tape that's for sure.. how did you encounter the clipping problem? Also what is the last band with the glockenspeil at the firefly? nice sounds!! very very nice

Hi Craigus, I love a mystery and I thought the same as you, the band at the end with the soft almost hippyish vibe were terrific and the fact that they've escaped your attention to date makes it even more intriguing!
If you know who the rest of the bands/artists are then drop us a line and I can check if they are ok with being on here as there are a couple of others I don't know at the moment.
Cheers
Jim :)
