  • To anyone who doesn't know, the heart shape is not at all based on the human heart. English is the (if not one of) only language(s) to use the same word. The original heart shape is though to be derived from the female's buttox. The shape was viewed as beautiful and perfect by Romans (especially upon Venus, the goddess of beauty and love). This is still not proven, but is highly likely.
