  • I would respond to Justice Breyer with this comment:

"Your Honor, The most important part of the 2nd Amendment is the 'Period' after the word "infringed". What that means sir, is that the Founding Fathers were finished with that amendment and they moved on the the 3rd. There was no more need for debate, or options, or only muskets, or only 18th century weapons, or any "What if's". PERIOD!

"...The right of the PEOPLE to keep & bear Arms, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED."

  • Breyer disgusts me.

He simply rationalizes himself being a bureaucrat on the bench. It's up to the people of the several states to amend the constitution. The language in the constitution was purposefully plain & clear and it has only been through capricious and willful misinterpretations that the meanings and intents as well known through various documents and writings outside of the constitution what exactly was meant by the words in the constitution.

Breyer is treasonous to the bench.

  • @USAHistory1 If you want to approach the subject historically (Breyer) you would have to acknowledge that the idea of disarming individual citizens in 18th century America is both ridiculous and absurd.

  • @USAHistory1 That is Bork's opinion. Looks like he never got around to reading the Federalist Papers.

  • Breyer: "...we are acting as judges if we are going to decide everything on the basis of history." This is the quintessence of what is wrong with the Supreme Court. The court should make decisions based on the law as written, not precedents, not on situation ethics, not on politics, not on the laws or customs of other nations.

  • The greatest flaw in the U.S. Constitution is the lack of checks on the judiciary. How did this happen? Google Madison vs. Monroe.

  • i like listening to breyer talk because he is articulate and sharp, but it's not the in best interest of america that he is on the bench.

  • And this is what treason sounds like!

  • what a piece of garbage, its time to give this whole nation an enema to cleanse out the fecal matter, like this guy

  • What else could the right to bear arms mean?
