Yes but the Chevy applied less G-forces to the dummy than did the Hyundai. Crumpling is a good thing. Volvo proved that years ago.

i just cant understand why you would want one, it's bad in every way.

@dreamlinerguy That's exactly what happened to our 06' Impala SS. A Mazda came and rammed in back of it....his front bumper was literally bent forward and screwed up bad, while our back bumper....well it just bent out near the top of the bumper, and not even a scratch. But it was more damage than we thought near the inside I guess be hind the bumper so we had to rent a car a little longer than what we though. XD

But if you get in a bad crash in a Volvo, your friends might find out...
I'd rather be caught dead in a Chevy
-
not really. i have an impala and i had a bent frame from a frontal collision... car looks brand new now.. it really isnt bout the frame of a vehical being bent because there are tools/ machines that you can use to straighten out a frame
-
really, volvo crashes are models for the industry.
-
Uh, ANY car that gets in a solid collision at over 30mph is going to have totaled car. Once the frame's bent the car is fucked.
-
i got hit from the side in mine and the man was going about 30-40 and it totaled my car.
-
IISH or whatever rates the impala as one of the top preformers in it's class. so the roof bends a bit atleast the B piller isn't snapping in 2.
-
Ouch! bad test rating...Accord and Camry still out does the Impala.
-
then again if the door doesnt absorb the impact and stays rigid you have to...which is not a good thing lol
the hummer h2 only got a scratch!
