Here is one of the first songs I ever wrote. I must have been about 17 or 18! Very simple, D,G and A for those wishing to know the chords (don't be tempted to use any minor chords). And yes, the beautiful greenwoods of England are still growing and chivalry is still alive.
I nearly put this song out with Eron Records,( Ron Milner), but this song brought about Minstrel Music instead.
Have a great life, like this song it's only fiction; and here are the words:

When tyranny ruled over England, and the kingdom fell to an evil hand
Then came a young knight, brave and bold, whose valour brought fame throughout the land.
Chorus: And they'd hunt him high and they'd hunt him low, everywhere he'd go
they'd hunt him far and they'd hunt him wide, but they'd never catch Ivanhoe.
Ivanhoe at the tournaments, would bring defeat to the best knights there
His royal blue crest he then would show, and he claimed the heart of Rowena fair.
Chorus: And they'd hunt him high and they'd hunt him low, everywhere he'd go
they'd hunt him far and they'd hunt him wide, but they'd never catch Ivanhoe.
Throughout all of England, of Ivanhoe the minstrels sang
With his sword and lance ready to fight, across the land his name it rang
Chorus: And they'd hunt him high and they'd hunt him low, everywhere he'd go
They'd hunt him far and they'd hunt wide, but they'd never catch Ivanhoe.
No, they'd never catch Ivanhoe.

  • This song brought me good memories of when I was about 12 and read Walter Scot's novel.

I see you actualy play a lot of instruments. I just use my keyboard and make it sound like a flute, celo or watever.

I read you would like your songs to be translated to other languages. If you aloud me I might consider this one for a Spanish version. Just give me some time to make an acceptable work.

    I'll be in touch

  • Sweet sound! Do you ever tour the States?
