Phil Keoghan, from the CBS series The Amazing Race, is riding his bike across America this year to raise MS awareness. He stopped in Pagosa Springs, CO before making the climb over the continental divide where his visit was captured in high definition by local production companies High Horse Video Productions and Kinship Productions. This video, edited by Emmy award winning producer Michael Killen, features highlights from Phil's visit set to the song "You Know That Feeling By Heart." The song is about the singers first childhood bike and was written by Dianne and Michael Killen. This recording is taken from the CD "A Voice Like Yours" by The Killens and features former Fleetwood Mac member Rick Vito on electric lead guitar.
I rode across the USA in 2007 to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research. I absolutely recommend it for anyone so inclined...I did it at 58, and a friend of mine did it last summer at 67. Camping was great and since I went alone I could make my own sites in some great spots. I plant to do it again this summer, 2011. If anyone has a question, I'd be glad to talk. Very nice video -- excellent collection of footage. And congratulations on raising as much as you did on behalf of Phil's cause!
