A powerful story based on one family's survival of the 2004 tsunami, THE IMPOSSIBLE stars Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor and is directed by J.A. Bayona (THE ORPHANAGE).

Maria (Naomi Watts), Henry (Ewan McGregor) and their three sons begin their winter vacation in Thailand, looking forward to a few days in tropical paradise. But on the morning of December 26th, as the family relaxes around the pool after their Christmas festivities the night before, a terrifying roar rises up from the center of the earth. As Maria freezes in fear, a huge wall of black water races across the hotel grounds toward her.

Based on a true story, THE IMPOSSIBLE is the unforgettable account of a family caught, with tens of thousands of strangers, in the mayhem of one of the worst natural catastrophes of our time. But the true-life terror is tempered by the unexpected displays of compassion, courage and simple kindness that Maria and her family encounter during the darkest hours of their lives. I can't wait for the next BASED ON A TRUE story about other natural disasters including Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and the Tsunami in Japan, and the story is One Family's story. A Caucasian/White only family of course.

Also a special cameo from Kanye West just for fun to hug the White family.

In fact it's a true story of Spanish family. But Hollywood didn't fund it till it changed to powerhouse names as Ewan and Naomi.

Anyway, in Phuket that tragic day, if you can remember, the very famous super model lost her fiance, brok her legs and arms, lying on the bed crying till the patient in bed beside her gave her "budda pendant" to console her. He was Thai. And she said she had a glimpse of hope for the 1st time.

MC of Entertainment Tonight program last week announced it; "The disaster that happened in INDONESIA" and I watched the TV screen closely, "it's Thailand! Not Indonesia!".

Saw the preview for this last night, prior to "Killer Joe"

At the first lyric of "One" ---- TEARS .... that did not stop flowing the entire preview. And AGAIN now!!!

What a film. Looks amazing. To all those who lost loved ones during this natural disaster of gigantic proportions, my heart goes out to you. To those who were unable to locate their remains, I say a prayer that your souls will be reunited.
