1968 Seeley Norton Commando in AHRMA's Formula 750 race at VIR (Virginia International Raceway) Sunday, August 14, 2011
There were only a few F750 bikes in this race so we gridded with a couple of other classes. I ended up having a GREAT race with Andrew Cowell a Vintage Superbike Heavyweight (Guzzi 1000cc), fighting for the overall lead. That Guzzi has great power, but I believe the Seeley is more nimble and I was able to get out of the turns a little better. On a couple of occasions I had to chop the throttle just to prevent hitting him. It should also be noted my rear tire was absolutely shagged and I almost high-sided coming out of turn one on the last lap (seen in the vid). I had to be so ginger on the throttle coming out of every turn. Unfortunately my camera stopped recording 2/3rds through the last lap, but safe to say I got the win. It was a great race, but I should've had a camera facing the rear.

Always a pleasure to watch your videos Kenny.
That Norton just sounds and performs awesome! Nice to see (and hear) your efforts on building and rebuilding it pays off.
