@lasktguy--well your friend had good taste in women-hey-hey. Ellen Degeneres has good taste in woman--her wife is a fox as well. Rosie O'Donnell is another story altogether as I can't imagine too many men, or even women, for that matter would want to wake up next to that battle-ax!

@chuckbuckbobuck yes, and my best friend is one of those women she dated back in the sixties. How they met sounds like something from a movie and not real life. Dusty liked roller derby and went to the games. The woman I know was a derby skater and they met at a game Dusty went to. She has some good stories about Dusty.

To druhbe1996 re:pervasive racism in music, in particular, and in the world at large, I agree w/your sentiments exactly. Its the same old elvis as opposed to Chuck Berry as The King of Rock n Roll symdrome. Fast forward to the beegees as opposed to the Trampps as disco kings, etc, etc. This version can't hold a candle to the Gamble/Huff Jerry Butler version.

I like to see Adele do this song. Not only that, but do the same things Springfield did-which includes putting her hand and arm in the air (as if she's controlling the tune) as she sings 'just because of you boy'.

@KylesBeguiles928 I loved the late Dusty Springfield, she was truly a sexy soulful white sister who could really sing and I loved to watch her serve as host. The only other Caucasion sister that would hold in Dusty's class is the lovely Chris Clark especially during her brief years with Motown

@woody7075--unfortunately for us men more then likely Dusty would walk in the room with a woman rather then a man as she preferred her own sex more then the opposite.

To me Dusty is at her most gorgeous, beautiful, sexiest best in this clip and in this stunning white outfit. The hair, the beautiful glossy tanned skin, the eyes and the classy, classy face and prescence. You'd be proud to walk in to any room in the world with Dusty on your arm looking like she does here!!! Sighhh!
