Dean used to listen endlessly to tapes of the songs he had to learn, and he'd even take them onto the golf course. Sinatra always liked to be note perfect as well. Music being a different discipline to comedy, I suppose.
Martin was always understandably exhausted after dancing with the Step Brothers. The Colgate Comedy Hour episodes (1953-55) when the Brothers appeared with that other great team, Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis, were the best.
@Duke535 Dino was a professional. He liked to avoid rehearsals because he liked to be spontaneous, and he knew that that was what the audience preferred. It certainly wasn't through laziness, or anything like that.
thank you for sharing this awesome clip. The Step Brothers and the Treniers were great groups and were so complemented by Dean. I wish there were more to see. I love watching Dean perform his own version of the "moonwalk" hehe
