Poor you. Lacking the mental finesse to avoid making a comparison between a silly clown like Charlie Sheen and a truly artful human being like Dick Cavett. I think I'd rather have emotional problems––the truly terrifying kind, that heroine binge users can relate to––than be you. Limp noodle dickie? You are a fucking asshole.

  • Depression that starts in your youth and does not respond to any treatment is equivalent to being burned at the stake using a small flame that never goes out.

  • @KingMinosxxvi they(drs etc.) now try to push and rely on a pill to take care of this. I think its a form of cruelty in that that immediately discounts your humanity and that of ones condition. They dont bother to think beyond that. so their own mental functions have dwindled. A culture that is more cruel is less intelligent. Maybe it scares them that they cant understand it

  • honestly im fucking tired stop trying to convicne me im fucked

  • Sometimes you just hve to cler out ll the grbge nd sy "deppresion, odctors prent bllhhvlbl is bullshit !

  • I should say that theese conclusion re based on not insignifignt personal experience.

  • I really hve a huge distaste for this whole culture.. perhaps it s generational gorwth...but i think the swirling culture the that surround s the words the symptoms the dotors ect.. exacerbates what is really a philosophical problem an existential problem if you will and convinces people there is something wrong with them instead of doing the opposite.

  • Where can I find more of this discussion? I'm glad the doctor explained about types because I've found it unfortunate that depression has become this blanket disease when it truly comes from something else that's wrong and whatever that wrong thing is is not the same for everyone. We used to know this, but we don't anymore. And that's why people are describing it so many different ways.

  • Depression, bad depression is like being swallowed up into a black hole, with no way out. It is horrible.

  • Despair is good because it indicates stress and gloominess which really comprise depression. People generally think of depression as a slow ride, but there are moments of anxiety and sheer terror.
