At the recent Construction Labour Relations conference in Toronto, two lawyers debated the pros and cons of testing employees on job sites for illegal drug use. Michael McFadden of Ogilvy Renault emphasized the safety hazards of drug use while Michael McCreary of Watson Jacobs McCreary is concerned about invasion of privacy and targeting employees for termination.
