The people that have actually dominated the Muslim world (as muslims) for the longest period in the form of Ottoman Empire and the Mughal Empire have infact had quite a white color. The Spanish people among other European races are also among the list of people from which many have converted to Islam.

Bad idea. The entire caucasian region is unstable -- You as a foreigner would be a target for: Terrorists, kidnapping gangs, the government, Russian forces, etc. You'd do better to visit another place.
