In the musical world of the KUNDIMAN, the name Larry Miranda stands out as the best. His unique plaintive style has the strange power of evoking heartwarming emotions. Lumang Simbahan, one of the golden songs that catapulted Larry to popularity, best prove the contention.

The road to success was not an easy one for Larry Miranda. He had been singing his way to countless amateur contests before he made it to the top rated La Tondena songfest in 1956-1957.

From then onm with Greg Cruz of Goldwyn Records as patron, Larry's star steadily rose on stage, radio and on records. Disc after disc became hits to be accepted as Standards in Philippine vocal music.

Today, Larry Miranda is gone, but he lives in the golden records of love songs he left behind. In tribute to an immortal singer and his music, MAYON Records presents this collection of Larry Miranda's best love songs.
