I heard this news this morning in a news paper.....then when I got home from school I turned on the news and it was on. Looked him up on here and saw the video of him on OSU athletics and couldnt hold back the tears. Have never met him but looking into his eyes and knowing that young man is in a better place also helped me feel better about the situation. The video goes right into you. To everyone who got the chance to meet this young man please give plenty of prayer. RIP Fred Thompson.

man Fred it's hard to say the words "good bye" to so I wont. from one Mr. Thompson to another, you are already missed more than you can even fathom. You are a fellow young brother like me doin somethin with his life and I have always been proud of you. Like I said before, I'm not saying "good bye" but I will say see you later my brotha :'-)

I ddnt know Fred, but I think ive met him once before...I kept seeing all these status' on fb saying "R.I.P" and I wanted to see if I knew him soo I started scrolling thru his pics and saw that he went to Tech but Graduated and was playin football at Oregon State and thats when I started shedding tears. He was a young black male who made it out of Oakland..he was doing something with his life. And its sad because he's just gone soo soon..too soon. R.I.P Fred
