Maybe a link to Frédéric Eyl Gunnar Green's website in the info would be kind, because you aren't going to find more info at moreinspiration

@flowirin are you saying it's a fake idea? Frédéric Eyl and Gunnar Green made a small scale prototype, but this video is a rendering of what it would look like on a large scale.

this is made using a program called Processing. It is a programming language made for artists and designers.
I have actually made something jut like this before using camera capture. You basically look at the captured image and determine the brightness level for each area (such as 10 pixel by 10 pixels) and tell the computer what to draw based on the brightness value.

Portal? O.o

I don't think the logistics are crazy at all - it's super simple. You have an aperture linked to a motion sensor, the sensor has a chip that closes the hole after a short time lag. They don't need to talk to each other, they all work independently.

Good call! I was suspicious of this video....just by the way that everyone seemed to have a halo around them...as if it were a chroma key or luminense key......But I never noticed the one person(more than one?) stepping on the wall till you said something!!!

very cool technology, i bet the logistics are crazy to figure out and wire up... does each have to be individually controlled? have its own computer essentially?

cool idea, shame its a fake. 0:49

it must be a green screen because as they walk away you can see them stepping ON the white wall of dots.
