An entirely scripted storm in RMXP.

A new, unencrypted demo of this script is available at http://www.glitchkey.com, in the beta section. Go check it out!

Edit: Since some people seem to assume that when I say entirely, I must mean everything they can possibly see on the screen, let me clarify: When I say this is a scripted storm, I am referring to the thunder and lightning, both of which are operating on a randomized scripted timer.

To be even more specific, to mimic the fact that the flashes aren't just on a random timer, but also have random settings (to a point, they won't be blue or anything), you would need either a massive amount of event coding, events with script calls mixed in, or a script. Not to mention the fact that if this was fully evented, my computer would NOT have been running it at that framerate. So please, in the future, refrain from making assumptions and accusations until you have learned to think, and not just act. Remember, when you assume, you make an ass of you and me.

  • Where can i get this script at? or event... etc?

  • @BurnTheNet I just updated the description with a link to the demo of this script, which I updated a week or two ago. Please check it out!

  • Ah, that's cool! It has a very nice effect on it. I think the thunder should be a little bit sooner after the lightning on it though, (i know it shows how far away the lightning is, but it seems really really far away) lol. Good job!

  • Yeah. Most people tend to agree about the audio. Still, thanks for the compliment. I'm hoping to have a version of this online sometime in the near future, but it's going to take more fine tuning first.

  • So You Can Do This On Rpg 03? If so How Do I Do What you do?

  • RPG 03? As in RPG Maker 3, for the PlayStation? If so, I have no idea. If you mean one of the computer based RPG Makers, then it is probably possible, although the older ones would require it be evented, and it wouldn't have nearly as much in the way of variation.

  • Oh sorry. Nice video.

  • All right. Since you've decided that it is impossible that you can script something you can also event, I've updated the description, just for you. Please, in the future, think before you comment.

  • Thats not even scripted!
