A 10 TANK BUSTER

A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American single-seat, twin-engine jet aircraft developed by Fairchild-Republic for the United States Air Force to provide close air support (CAS) of ground forces by attacking tanks, armored vehicles, and other ground targets, also providing a limited air interdiction role. It is the first U.S. Air Force aircraft designed exclusively for close air support.

The A-10's official name comes from the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt of World War II, a fighter that was particularly effective at the CAS mission. However, the A-10 is more commonly known by its nickname "Warthog" or simply "Hog". As a secondary mission, it provides airborne forward air control, guiding other aircraft against ground targets. In the USAF inventory, the airframe is designated OA-10 when used primarily in a forward air control role.

@haxx49 of course an F-22 would "beat" an A-10... A single F-22 handled six F-15's at once and with ease. The F-22's job is air superiority. The A-10's job is close air support... apples and orange... their roles are completely different and pointless to compare.

@kosmos224 If you're talking about the Russian version of the F-22, well I don't know how you have come up with, since they have never engaged one another. Maybe you got this from some theoretical scenario that somebody thought out or the other which I highly doubt, that they actually squared off in some kinda red flag type event. The fact that F-22 took out so many F-15's, is a fact, but if you could list the source of your claim, id appreciate it.
