Prodotto da Enzyme Black (aka Danny J Lewis), "Something For The Weekend" è il secondo singolo estratto dal nuovo album di Ben Westbeech. Un brano "disco-uplifting" estremamente piacevole all'ascolto prodotto su una traccia di ottimo groove, con influenze disco e di chiara ispirazione house.


Il talentuoso Ben Westbeech - emerso nel 2006 per pubblicare subito nel 2007 il suo primo album "Welcome To The Best Years Of Your Life", firmato con la Brownswood Recordings di Gilles Peterson - è grazie al recente incontro con l'americana Strictly Rhythm che trova nuove energie creative arrivando alla complessa realizzazione della collezione di inediti "There's More To Life Than This".


"Something For The Weekend" è il nuovo estratto dall'album "There's More To Life Than This", presentato a Settembre su Strictly Rhythm e che a Ottobre vedrà la luce anche in Italia su etichetta d:vision Records (Energy Production / distribuzione Audioglobe).


Nella release completa del singolo il maestro indiscusso della disco house contemporanea, Joey Negro, aggiunge al pacchetto remix il suo tocco inconfondibile, potenziando l'efficacia della versione principale. Lees Foss e Robert James vanno di deep mentre The Revenge resta tra influenze disco house puntando sul risultato in dancefloor.


A proposito di questo suo ultimo progetto, l'artista dice: "Sono felice di essermi ritrovato ancora una volta a sentirmi entusiasta per la musica". E basta far partire l'original di Enzyme Black perché il weekend abbia inizio sorridendo sulle note leggere di "Something For The Weekend", accompagnati dalla morbida voce di Ben Westbeech.
