  • The right of every citizen to work in support of their lives through their own industry is a natural right. The exercise of that right is NOT the proper or legal subject of taxation. There is no place in the tax code that identifies United States citizens as persons liable for the payment of an income tax for the exercise of that natural right. Government may tax privileged activities within its authority to regulate certain modes of commerce. Occupations of common right are exempt from tax.

  • Brownback is using this as a poitical platform. I did not go when I found the people I was going there to protest were the 'revered' speakers. Looks like a good many others chose not to participate, too, for the same reason. Fox and the Republican Party hosted this joke of a protest!

  • That is like saying "if I don't rob you, someone else will".

If it is wrong to spend it, then it is wrong to take it. You can't have it both ways.

Brownback is part of the problem.

He voted NO for a bill that was loaded with his pork, because he knew it would pass anyway.

    He is a hypocrite.

He spent our money like crazy when Bush was president - and he is still spending it.

Wake up and stop drinking the kool-aid!

  • Congress voted to authorize this spending... And Senator Brownback voted NO.

Once the money's out there, you might as well bring it to Kansas.

  • I don't support Brownback either, $87,000,000 supported bills in pork that he supported is not equate to what I was there for.

  • Awesome Man!Go Sam all the way to Congress!
