@bensolover Sorry but his accent definitely sounds haitian to me and I'm a native. The majority of people who live in the part of Haiti my families from are close to looking Hispanic or simply mulatto. If he isn't Haitian he must have been living in Haiti for quite some time to acquire that accent. Otherwise, I say he's Haitian without a doubt unless he's lying to you. If he isn't Haitian as you say would you kindly tell us what nationality he is?

Maybe he is Haitian, besides he is not exactly white....don't let his skin color fools you. I always tend to shock people when I tell them that I am Haitian!
