Broadway favorite, Rebecca Luker (The Secret Garden, Show Boat, The Sound of Music, The Music Man, Nine: The Musical) discusses her career and insight to her latest work, GREENWICH TIME.

With her new album, Rebecca gives voice to the work of bold new songwriters while honoring a generation of musical theatre giants including Jule Styne, John Kander and Maury Yeston with some of their most deeply personal dramatic ballads. GREENWICH TIMEs daring collection of songs celebrates the anticipation, joy, and wonderment of love, and Lukers shimmering, soaring soprano embraces every note. Each song stands as a self-contained moment of intimacy, at turns comic, tender, and breathtaking, as in Summer With You, the world premiere of the rare song with both music and lyrics by John Kander; the shattering Killing Time, by Jule Styne & Carolyn Leigh; Paul Loesel & Scott Burkell's thrilling Ohio, 1904; and Joseph Thalken & Marshall Barer's witty, sardonic Billions of Beautiful Boys. Experience the entire album after October 20th, 2009 on iTunes, Amazon Mp3 and at your favorite digital audio partners sites.

  • I was in the musical,, Camelot, with her in college. Of course she was Guinevere. We had a great Arthur too. I think he's a part time actor and a drama professor. Rebecca had a great voice then and she still does. I bought the CD

  • Ms. Luker has such a beautiful voice, I literally get chills when I hear her sing. I've had the good fortune to see her in Phantom in 1989, Secret Garden, Showboat, Nine, Sound Of Music, Feinstein's, Nimoy Thalia (stunning), No No Nanette, Time Warner, Kennedy Center, Off Off Broadway, 92nd St Y, and best of all Darling of The Day at the York. A woman with class, which is rare. I would love ot hear her sing Luisa's part from The Fantasticks.

  • My copy of the CD arrived today and its excellent. A good variety of songs beautifully performed.
