Well, this isn't my usual stock and trade but I got tickets to a Sarah Palin rally so I figured I would share the sights and sounds with you all. Unfortunately the crowd exceeded capacity just as we reached the doors and we weren't allowed in, but I was able to capture some old-fashioned American-flavored politics during the wait.

Bill Russell is an Iraq war veteran who is opposing John Murtha for Representative of the 12th District of Pennsylvania: http://russellbrigade.com/

  • Murtha is a Democrat, but those racists waiting in line to attend Palin's rally are Republicans.

  • And the racist jack-booted Hitlerjugend wannabes shouting at the folks in line are Democrats.

  • I protested at this rally and never before have I been subject to so much hate. I was called a terrorist, communist, baby-killer, muslim, hippie, and a pagan. I have never been flipped off more times in my life.

Throughout the protest, I threw up the peace sign in response the finger. Only to be yelled at again.

These angry, uninformed people are the base base of the McCain/Palin supporters, and they were fired up indeed.

It's scary to think these people are allowed to chose the president.

  • Oh please. You people were shouting abuse at the other side at least as much. You were all repeating the ridiculous phrases of that guy with the bullhorn like obedient sheeple. Honestly, if you go to a political protest you need to man-up and deal with the consequences. This is about the future of our country, it's not a game, even if the media treats it that way.

Speaking of angry, uninformed and ignorant... have you seen them interview those folks from ACORN? Real geniuses.

  • even the liberal commies have a better camera then you!

  • Another proud protestor here! Those Palin-heads were pure idiots come to drink the hate-filled kool-aid. And our numbers were NOT just union folks and students as someone posted earlier. Lots of regular folks turned out to protest "too much winky...not enough thinky" Palin. As Senator McNasty would say...My Friends, she is NOT qualified! These dolts are never going to see it as they prefer to remain blinded by ignorance and hate.

  • RIGHT ON!!!

  • @Dylldo i suspect you are at the very least two of those things.

  • McCain/Palin won this district., barely but they did.

    It's 2./3 Democratic

  • ROFL you and shhassw can get back to humping your bibles in church. I can afford to live because I, unlike you, am and educated American. I have a 75k salary and just got out of college a year ago. I hope Palin runs in 2012 so she can get beat again. And what is the deal with calling me a koolaid drinker? Is that supposed to be some kind of racist remark or calling me poor? Why don't you get back to shooting meth and listening to Rush Limbaugh.

  • To continue from my comment below, I need to mention that my husband and I attended a Tea Party protest that was put on by the Tea Party Express. One of the people who spoke at this event, was a black man who was previously a vendor at a tea party protest in Missouri -- who got beat up by a bunch of liberal union SEIU members, simply for selling "Don't Tread On Me" flags (one which my husband and I have purchased). They can try to bully us, but never will they succeed in intimidating us!

  • What they don't understand is that during the Civil Rights Movement in the late 60's, it was the Democrats who were mostly members of the KKK and that Martin Luther King was a conservative Republican! The NAACP? Well, it was started by Republicans, but later was taken over by Communist radicals...like Obama. The only thing about Obama, is that while he claims to be a black man, he is in reality only 7% black. It was Frank Marshall Davis who "taught him how to be black." Oh, really?

  • Yeah...how ironic it is that you are the ones who will not be able to afford to live, because you voted for the very person who hates capitalism so much, that no one will be there to hire you or any of your fellow koolaid drinkers. You are your own worst enemy -- and you voted for America's worst enemy!

  • Lucky. At least there are people there with brains. People in Johnstown will HOPEFULLY SOON realize that they screwed up bad. But I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't....

  • You actually believe that Murtha is ethical? He is the epitomy of corruption, with the most pork barrel spending projects of any Senator in the U.S.! That airport, for instance...what on heaven's earth? The man is a scumbag....I agree with stealth423. Bill Russell and his wife were both working at the Pentagon when it the plane crashed into it on 9-11. They moved away from VA to Johnstown, as she was pregnant and the memory of the incident was too stressful for her. He has values and morals!

  • Don't blame you. At least the part of Pittsburgh where we live, there are people who have brains. The people who voted for Obama, voted for freebies from the gov't, not using their values -- that is, unless they don't have any values to begin with!

  • NObama listen to those Commies.
