  • Plywood SQUIER!

  • @hivesrock

Solid balsa wood, baby. Only the best.

  • its called dont waste your money on a space echo. The only real space echo are the ones with the real tape inside which are the original crisp sound of vintage delay/reverb - the space echoes' which pink floyd used. if your going to get either or, throw the space echo on a shuttle to space and put your notes through a giga delay.

Sure, I mean, I bet we all could spend $600 on a vintage Space Echo unit and lug it around for practices and gigs, you know, whatever.

  • You kick ass for playing Cave In!

Thank you! They're a huge influence of mine. The riff from "Innuendo And Out The Other" (at 4:12 for those who don't know) is one of my absolute favorite guitar melodies.

  • I like the sound of the DD20 but I'm attracted to the RE20s warm and confident smile.

  • Thanks for the demo! I watched your other video on the moog ep-2 expression pedal. The moog IS compatible with the RE-20, and would be the one you would recommend for the money, right? I just want an expression pedal to go with the RE-20 I just picked up strictly for home use, no gigging.

  • @reynanr I'm pretty sure Floyd used Binson Echorecs - which aren't tape.

  • @reynanr Don't waste a money on an original Roland space echo or this RE-20? The originals are very nice and sound awesome but they are very prone to mechanical failure. Also, there was nothing "crisp" about the originals. For the price, you can't beat the RE-20. It doesn't sound as good as the older Roland space echoes, but it gets you about 90% there, which is close enough for me.
