Political Prisoners were Released

On June 22, Alexander Arzumanyan, Suren Sirunyan, Myasnik Malkhasyan and Hakob Hakobyan, defendants of the March 1 case, were freed from the court room.
The court passed a guilty verdict against Alexander Arzumanyan, Myasnik Malkhasyan, Hakob Hakobyan and Suren Sirunyan, sentencing them to 5 years (4 years for Sirunyan) of imprisonment. The amnesty, announced on June 19, was applied, and the prisoners were set free.
Their relatives, friends and supporters had arrived to welcome and support them all.
Alexander Arzumanyan, Suren Sirunyan, Myasnik Malkhasyan and Hakob Hakobyan left the court and went to the Myasnikyan monument, in order to put flowers in memory of the victims of March 1.
