Most of the alleged unalterable tenets of each religion, even one as open as Buddhism, are mildew and barnacles fastened onto a deep, barely wordable Meaning and Wisdom. There seem to be two paths, the Lesser would involve Shamanism & Psychedelics; the Higher attainment by one's own disciplines, for the body itself through DMT reaches up to Brahman, Nirvana. Fasting is integral to the second path. Loosening from social tenets one will see that the nude body is humblest of all ascetic garb.

Why fast when all the smells and flavours entice us to banquet in fellowship? Why declare any of the One True Faiths the true one when each presents a counter-argument and counter-faith to what you chose? Relativity and the Will To Good is "single" truth, there are many ways The Higher Power not one. Atheists, Hindus and Jews are invited as equals to the table of delectable delights, for the wine of learning and reason. Time is too vast for mythical "yahweh".

Initially I couldn't stand the theme either but the more I watched Mister Nison...the more the theme grew on me and now I would not be without it! :) Just goes to show that if exhibit a little patience we become a little accepting and loving :)
