Owen & Diana, Pure Snow (Otakon 2007)

This is the first duet Diana & I performed at Otakon 2007. The piece is "Pure Snow" from Himikoden.

We did this without any rehearsals, warm-up or even tuning so we're a bit tense for the first minute as we iron out the kinks. I quickly found out the microphone wasn't picking up my clarinet (I couldn't hear my own solo through the monitors), so I had to compensate by playing as loud as I could; this threw some of my notes off-key. The clarinet's mixed in a little loud because the camera's so close to the stage; the actual geometry of the room is a long, deep hall.

All of this could've been avoided in a properly prepared performance, so keep in mind this was just a karaoke performance for fun. :)

P.S. Diana's giggle is cute, so of course I had to keep that in.

Just found this while looking up some old titles of AMV's I've seen before. Man I love the song. Yup that giggle was cute. You guys rock.
