You are so right about Joe's Country roots and how they influenced his music. Not many folks are aware of the Country songs he wrote because most were hits for other artists. Example:he wrote the terrific song "Look At Them Beans" which was a Top Twenty hit on the Billboard Country charts for Johnny Cash.

When this single was released the radio DJs began flipping it over to check out it's "B" side and when they liked what they heard they began to put that too into rotation. That "B" side single turned out to be the biggest-selling single that Joe had in his entire career:"I Gotcha".
