@oliveranthonyrowland Alain Vanzo was born in 1928, so he sang this part in Philadelphia at the age of 57. Mr. Vanzo had his great years from the late 50's to the mid 70's, and he sang Werther, Faust but also Edgardo beautifully.
Not sure about "modern", he was the same generation as Kraus, but I agree a similar kind of light, elegant voice and I like them both. More like a "French Kraus"
